Musselburgh is a historic town on the east side of Edinburgh, situated at the mouth of the River Esk. One of the oldest continuously inhabited places in Scotland, it encompasses the town centre, the residential areas of Wallyford and Inveresk, and the Musselburgh Racecourse.
